'Ruckus' Wray & Nephew Style

Looking at The Jamaica Pegasus' Talk of the Town suite from outside, you wouldn't know the ruckus going on inside.

And though we say 'ruckus', we mean it in a good way, as that's the kind of fun you have at a J. Wray and Nephew media party. Some guests did their best to follow the black-and-white theme, some going for some near-hilarious ensembles including bow ties. They jammed to recorded tracks most of the night, but as marketing manager Andrew Price said, no media party is complete without a guest artiste. Step forward Mavado.

The 'Gully God' didn't have to call his disciples to the altar as he delivered a short but entertaining 'sermon'. Track after track, he reminded them why he is one of the top acts around. He kept them grooving to his beat and the hands went up in salute, time after time. And there was no delay in the entertainment after Mavado departed, as the selectors, led by Kurt Riley, went right back to work, ushering a fresh round of 'getting down' until past midnight.
