This year's PROComm Christmas Launch party, hosted by Jean Lowrie-Chin, Hubie Chin and their charming team, took Kingston by storm last weekend. 'Make me Laugh' was the theme, so clients and media colleagues arrived at the Kingsway office last Saturday night dressed to impress guest judges Ity and Fancy Cat who kept everyone in stitches. From retired Zorro and his Mexican senorita to an overgrown schoolboy, a 'pothole-dredging and filling' company, judges had their work cut out for them.

Emerging winners were the Power 106 team of Pam Owens, Kayon Curvin and Shauna Fung Yee, Women's Media Watch's Hilary Nicholson and Judith Wedderburn, Gloria Maragh and her brother Eric, National's Steven Sykes and RJR Group's Yvonne Wilks and Kay Osborne. Colm Delves, Lascelles Chin, Harry Smith, Peter Chin and Anthony Chang presented great LASCO and Digicel prizes.

PROComm's special guest Prime Minister Bruce Golding couldn't resist stopping by and sharing the vibe. Among those enjoying the bash were: Paula Delves, Lester Spaulding, Oliver Clarke, Dennis Lalor, Anthony Chang, Harry and Anne Marie Smith, Butch Hendrickson, John and Peta-Rose Hall, Steven Sykes, Dr Olivia "Peaches" McDonald and Col Trevor MacMillan, Father Burchell McPherson, Anne Marie and Ed Thomas, Aloun Assamba, Gary Allen, Jacqueline Lecky-Johnson, Winnie Cummings, Christopher Barnes, Ed Khoury, Christene King, Nicola Cunningham, Lloyd Brown, Kay Osborne, Yvonne Wilks, Garfield Burford, Winford Williams, Angela and Paget DeFreitas, Moses Jackson, Bev and Tony Lopez.

Guests huddled in animated conversation and lit up the dance floor. PROComm's Jamaican fare included spicy mannish water, the Buddo's famous curry goat and roti, barbecued chicken, and lots of Norway salt fish fritters. This was PROComm's 30th annual party and they're showing no signs of slowing down.
