Observation by The Gleaner over a two-week period has shown that, during peak hours, both morning and afternoon, the taxi facility at Water Lane, downtown Kingston, is almost empty, with just one or two taxis seen entering and exiting the facility at any one time. On the opposite side, where buses from St Thomas, St Mary, and Portland terminate, less than a third of the depot is used by bus operators daily.
