Vox Pop …After the verdict
Trudian Ffrench
Linstead, St Catherine
Buju's situation is kind of depressing right now because I was hoping that he would be free. Right now, I don't know what to really think, because he is one of us Jamaicans. It's hard, because we were expecting him to come home.
Kemar Campbell
Victoria, St Catherine
Mi feel it fi him; mi feel a way seh him no inna di deal but just get entrap. Mi feel seh him would be free, right now, mi feel seh him fi appeal. I was one of his fans, and this is a big loss to the music industry.
Ann Sheree Douglas
Lluidas Vale, St Catherine
He shouldn't be found guilty. He is one of my favourite artistes. I think they should free him. I think it was a set-up.
Nesha Dawes
Sales clerk from St Ann
He should not have been there at the time, they have found incriminating evidence against him, but at the same time I want him to be released. I don't want him to go to prison.
Malceita Powell
Sales clerk from St Ann
I'm feeling very sad, right now. I just can't believe they have found him guilty. I can't even describe the feeling; it is so wrong! I just wish him all the best.
Fire Bubbles

Jah know, star, wi feel it to wi heart still fi Gargamel because yuh done know a real Rasta youth, revolutionary chanter still. Him uplift many souls of people across the world, millions. It's just a simple misunderstanding tek place inna him life but him still could be forgiven if that's the case if him guilty.
Dr Lee Bailey
Businessman
I feel that he got a fair trial, and based on the circumstances, I think they were most accommodating. He had all the support from his supporters and Jamaica, but I personally believe that one can never assume that there is a racial tone to the whole outcome. We have to be careful when we are in other people's country, and even our own, to ensure that we follow the law to the letter.
Zhane Gordon,
Teacher of Montego Bay
I think that as an entertainer, you should be an ambassador for Jamaica, and if you are an ambassador, you should not be found guilty of such an offence. If the verdict is guilty, then he will have to pay the consequences. If it is that he has been found guilty for the wrong reasons, then I'm sorry for him.
