When times get tough, Guilt Trip's Colin Hylton, gets creative. And on Saturday night, regulars who came out to the upscale Barbican Road, St Andrew restaurant got a chance to enjoy some gourmet burgers as well as Lascelles fine wine and Hylton's creation ... lychee lemonade. The latter drew oohs and aahs from the lips of all who tasted it. The event was Build Your Own Burger (BYOB), and burgers on offer were: lamb, pork, beef, salmon and sea bass.

Among those spotted were SSCO's Stephanie Scott and her friends, Lascelles Wines' Debra Taylor and Absolut Vodka's Chesna Haber (who doubled as photographer), enjoying the vibe and the great food and great music being played by the DJ.

Tea With Me

Hylton told Food that BYOB was just one of his many ways of reinventing himself to cope with the harsh economic times. He revealed that his next event will be an Easter affair dubbed 'Tea With Me'. "It will be for only 40 select persons and hats are a must, but guests will have to buy their wines, and it will be on April 16."

Hylton also said that he will hold a "Commune" at the end of April; it will start with cocktails and the menu will have some eight courses of New World cuisine of 24 different menu items. Commune will see 30 guests seated at a long table beside total strangers, simply enjoying the food and fellowship.
