For the rest of April, Thursdays will never be the same as, on April 7, the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel at Waterloo Road, St Andrew, kicked off its Champagne and High Tea.

As the name suggests, this wasn't your typical tea and crumpets affair. Instead, the array of tea was complemented with sweet and savoury pastry by Aldeen Buckle, Dawn Mitchell and their team. Among the delightful desserts were strawberry shortcake, strawberry mousse cupcakes, stuffed eggs, and salmon pinwheels.

And, of course, there was the guest of honour - J. Wray & Nephew's Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial. That was the pièce de résistance. Brand manager for imported wines at J. Wray & Nephew, Raihn Sibblies, told Food that there could not have been a better combination with her brand. She noted that the Terra Nova is synonymous with fine dining, so the partnership with them was perfect.

A glass of the peach-coloured libation was perfect for the afternoon.

Why wait for Friday to unwind? Begin your weekend on Thursdays at Terra Nova's Champagne and High Tea.
