Montego Bay boy abducted
Western Bureau:
The son of a prominent Montego Bay businessman was abducted at school yesterday.
The three-year-old kindergarten student was abducted shortly after classes were dismissed.
The incident occurred at a prominent preparatory school in Montego Bay, St James, and involved at least three persons, The Gleaner has learnt.
The police remain tight-lipped about the abduction and were unwilling to provide details.
Meanwhile, the principal revealed that this is the first time such an incident has occurred at the school.
"We do not have a lack of security here. We have security officers on the compound, and so our school remains safe. This has never happened before and we will be looking at boosting the security presence here in light of this incident," the principal told journalists.
