ATL rolls out new product range
Two weeks ago, Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) hosted a breakfast seminar for persons in the home décor and architecture businesses to showcase the latest in its range of state-of-the-art kitchen appliances. These included ranges and ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, wine coolers, microwaves or preservers and refrigerators. The products were manufactured by the leading experts from Europe and the United Sates of America.
The main presenter Michael Schlevenick from Miami, Florida, gave some useful advice about all the products above that were available in the ATL inventory and used his many years of experience with marketing them to help participants understand more about the brands. Most importantly, he informed them that after-sale service and parts would always be available from ATL.
Michael Johnson of Custom Furnishing and Joinery Limited, gave an update of the latest in custom-designed kitchens for apartments and homes as well as how to ensure that harmony was maintained with electrical and other appliances in the installation process. He showed how kitchen cabinets could be designed around any shaped space and why the homeowner should prioritise the design of the kitchen rather than wait for it to be the last room to design in the house after the funds for construction had run out.
ATL's manager for commercial operations, John Walter, assured the audience that having spent many years in the business, he along with the team of professionals at ATL were best suited to offer advice about the brands of appliances to buy. He said far too often people shopped for cheaper brands only to discover that they were not compatible with electrical wattage, climatic conditions or other elements of a tropical country. He cited dishwashers and washing machines among the appliances that one ought to be very careful about simply hopping on a plane to buy. The ATL team of experts, he said, received ongoing training and had the expertise to maintain all the appliances that they sell.
Points to note
1. Behind every brand is a factory, some are good for Jamaica and some are not.
2. Trust the research and experience from the experts.
3. Be aware that quality can change within a brand.
4. Equipment is getting more sophisticated, so factory-trained technicians should be used to service and install all appliances.
5. Appliances such as microwaves and fridges need adequate ventilation space between them and the wall.
6. Never install a fridge near to a heat source.
