Judge withdraws warrant for Rev Miller's arrest

Senior Resident Magistrate Lorna Williams has withdrawn the warrant she issued yesterday for the arrest of popular clergyman Reverend Al Miller.
The warrant was withdrawn when Miller and his lawyer turned up in court yesterday afternoon, four hours after the matter was initially called up.
Attorney-at-law Leslie Campbell explained that there was an apparent mix-up with the time that Miller's firearm case was scheduled to be heard.
According to Campbell, he and Miller had expected a 2 p.m. hearing.
The hearing was, however, called up at 10 a.m.
The trial is now set for August 18.
Miller, who is out on $100,000 bail, is charged with negligence in relation to the theft of his licensed firearm.
