Poetry (4)
Children are the Lord's heritage and
So you came to be
Children are a gift from God
And so you were given unto me
T'was in a darkened room
In the still and quiet night
You tossed and turned
Kicked and thumped
You put up quite a fight
I looked up and saw your face
In now a lighted room
I looked all around and thought
What's wrong, why the face of gloom?
They whisked you away
Before we could even touch
Neither a word nor a sign
Not even as much
Minutes, hours and days went by
Before we met again, I look at you now
And think to myself, how sacred I was back then
I am still afraid, but one thought comforts me
It is to know that you are truly blessed
Know this, my son
the Lord is your shepherd
and he'll lead you in
righteousness.

Letter to my baby
Hello baby, how are you?
It is raining outside and I am feeling blue.
You are so far way and our intimate moments I remember clear
If you were here we would probably be in the country somewhere
The location wouldn't matter because we would have each other
I like when you hug me and when we cuddle under covers
You are my life, why did you have to go away?
I went out the other day and almost went astray
She was beautiful and she danced so seductively
She pressed her body close, in my ears she outlined her motive
My body in thirst almost relented
I don't know how long I can manage without you
This ring on my finger says I must be faithful to you
The little voices within have started whispering to me
saying maybe you have gone astray and that I should cheat
You went astray once when we were living together
I wonder how you manage now that we are apart
But I've ignored those voices
I really have
because no matter what, you will always have my love
The rain has stopped now beautiful
your true love is waiting patiently for you.

The mystery of God
The mystery of God, no one can study
The sun shines throughout the day
The stars and the moon shine through the night
The breeze you can feel, but you cannot see
The salt preserves the water of the sea
The birds make their nest in the trees
You sow a seed, and from the earth it grows
But how the fruits and foods bear, you and I don't know
The rain cools the earth
The mountains, the cloud and the sky, we don't know how they were formed
But the mystery of God, lies only in his arms.
