Birthday with a difference

Ah my friend, those where the days!

The days when you worked from dawn till dusk

The days when you thought about them and lived your lives for their success

The days when you sowed and harvested

The days when the lonely, the blind, the sick and the suffering were glad to hear thy voice

The days when you built and restored

The days when you gave many opportunities to the jobless, and to those who had nothing

You were very busy my friend Feeding the staving, helping the have-nots and caring for the flock

Today is your day to rest a while

Your birthday

Yes, you're at ease now

What else can you do?

The assets are gone

Reflect, my friend

Enjoy your day.

The painting

Some think I'm a masterpiece

Some think I'm trash

Some say I am the glory of the world

Some say nothing like that

Some people take me for granted

Many say I am the most beautiful thing

Most say I'm more beautiful than the Mona Lisa

Others say, 'what, a painting?'

I do nothing but sit and analyse

I make a few smile

I make some laugh too

I make others angry and say

'What kind of painting is that?'

Critics say I'm magnificent

They say I'm silly too

But I'm a one-of-a-kind painting

A beautiful work of art

I'll stay as a unique painting

Forever in my heart.
