Give a friend some love today
Be there just to show the way
Let her know you understand
That she needs a helping hand
Remind her you have been there too
And how someone had seen you through
Share the stories of your life
To show how much you paid the price
Then she'll know how much you've grown
Thankful your walk was not alone
Be that friend of love and grace
That makes the world a better place
Motivate, build self-esteem
Help someone to live their dream
Give some love away today
At last! At last! At last! Hurray!

Feed me
Feed me, don't wait until I'm dead
Feed me and don't deprive me
Why must there be a limitation?
Why must there be barriers?
Feed me, don't wait until I'm dead
Place much in my arms that my heart may share
Touch me with more than enough
so my soul to others can declare
I appreciate the little, but my Father has plenty
Sell the thousand cattle on the hill
so my family and friends' tummies can all be filled
Feed me, don't wait until I'm dead
Let me sip from the saucer of joy like Jabez
and smile my cheeks to tears Give me joy like Sista P with the crown of prime on her head
but with the crown of food instead
Feed me, don't wait until I'm dead.

Travelling companion
Hi, I couldn't help but notice you from where I was sitting
Are you travelling alone?
I sure could use a travelling companion
Do you mind if I sit here?
OK, thanks
Where will you get off?
Oh, you're going to Montego Bay
I'm going to Clifton in Hanover and I'll be spending the weekend there with my crazy ex-in-laws
You seem rather tired and the bus hasn't left the terminus yet
Tell you what, when we get to Mount Rosser you may sleep on my shoulder if you wish
By the way, I'm Marlon
And you are?
It's good to meet you, Sandy
You sure make a great travelling companion
I hope we have a safe journey
Time certainly doesn't stand still
We're now in Montego Bay and you have to go
I really enjoyed your company
May I call you some time?
Bye, sexy Sandy.

A Prayer to St Joseph
I need you, need you
Now!
This child is hard to carry on my own
I know you are with me
But I need you now
In the flesh
For more reasons than one
Never mind my darling, angels do have a sense of humour
Census, fear, unexpected
responsibility
on your shoulders
please carry me and the tiny fragile one
new techniques
new delivery methods
but the same breastfeeding continues
same carriage
my womb, my mother, my motherhood
my motherhood that needs fathering
Please come make up your mind
to love and support me
unconditionally in this mystery birth
The christ child gets harder to carry
Across the rivers
Across the water
I need your hand
Your human hand.

God Almighty
Raised and elevated on your heavenly throne
Clothed in celestial beauty
You are ascribed amorous adoration
By seraphims and cherubims
Who continuously utter
Holy, holy, holy
Far exhalted above everything
Mere mortals can only
Bow down to you, King
You are completely embossed
In things unfathomable
To our finite minds
The words to describe you elude us
You are God Almighty
Glorious and transcendental
The most holy, majestic and supreme being
Incomprehensible to human thought
The mystery of your existence precedes time
Synchronises with time
And moves
Show me the illumination
Which radiates from your presence
Transport me to Sinai in the cleft of the rock
Where Moses caught but a glimpse
Of your goodness gliding by
Or maybe upon the mount of transfiguration
There I'll be stirred to make a tabernacle
Amid your Shekinah glory
As I gaze in wonderment
At
And the whiteness which emanates from your garment
Let all the Earth stand in awe
At your greatness
May exalted praises forever
Adorn your divine habitation
May authentic worship
Ever reach to you as sweet-smelling savour
To the
Omnipresent
Omniscient
Omnipotent
Unshakable
Unstoppable
Unmovable
God
Be honour, dominion and power
Everlastingly.
