If you are looking to add that wow factor to the design and decor of your next party or event, then you now have the option of lit bistro tables being offered by Strictly Events Jamaica Limited. These tables are different from the traditional bistro design, and are equipped to run on batteries.

According to Marc Laird, project manager at Strictly Events Jamaica, each table comes covered in a white, sleek spandex cover that creates an impressive glowing effect. "They create soft, beautiful ambient lighting for weddings, cocktail and dinner parties or create bright and stunning colours for night-time exhibitions, product launch parties and other events that are sure to leave lasting impressions on the minds of guests," Laird said.

You can choose from various colours such as traditional red, green blue and green, or other unique shades. Each table is run on batteries for approximately 15 hours, and the tables can be programmed to display 16 different solid colours.

Tables are also operated from one central remote controller and are approximately four feet high with a table top diameter of approximately two feet. Remote controllers can be left with the customer so that tables can be turned on and off at their convenience.

Strictly Events Jamaica began offering the tables in May of this year, but business has improved since they were involved in an exhibition booth at Reggae Sumfest in August.

Not original

"It is not my original idea. I searched the Internet for ideas and took a more resourceful approach by building them from scratch. So, instead of buying them ready-made from overseas, we got the tables together and took about six months to have them tested and developed," Laird said.

Strictly Events Jamaica Limited is an event planning and execution company that caters to small- and medium-size companies and individuals who wish to execute their event with a unique and hassle-free experience. They focus on the planning and execution of small, large- tented events, stage structures, dance floors and tented booths for corporate and private events.

"It is very expensive to invest in equipment, so, in order for us to stay in the business and compete, we offered this kind of service and also execute specific areas of an event. We do site visits and then make recommendations regarding the set-up of the area and the logistics," Laird said.

Since being established in 2010, the company has secured partnerships with some of Jamaica's event decorators, equipment providers and signage fabricators. They specialise in the execution of stage structures, tented events, dance floors, tented booths and lounge areas and event-branding signage. They can be contacted at: www.strictlyeventsjamaica.com.
