The 2012 recipient of the Roy Hall Scholarship is Rachael Allen, a third-year student of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing arts (EMC), who is pursuing a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) in Theatre Arts - Acting. The scholarship, valued at J$163,000, was bestowed on the elated student at a handover ceremony held at the college recently.

11th year

The scholarship, now in its 11th year, was named in honour of veteran stage actor and TV presenter Roy Hall and has been presented to students at the Edna Manley College since 2001. Annually, the award is presented to a School of Drama student, pursuing a diploma or bachelors degree, who displays excellence in the discipline of drama with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or B average.
