POEM OF THE WEEK

The procedure

The deadly metals lay quietly in the still yellow-coloured liquid

The perceived pain caused her to tremble

Yet not enough to firmly stand against her will and walk out

She nervously laid there and spread her legs

So that there may be free 'illegal access' to God's creation

Closer the unauthorised 'god' came to her unprepared body

No questions were asked as he broke the barrier

Silence was soon replaced with pain

Intense pains were aligned with thoughts that Regardless of how undeserving,

branch and tree must part.

Confessions came flooding as easily as a scholar reciting the letters of the alphabet

Yet she would never utter anything that would indicate a stop in the procedure

to let life flow freely

Ironically, she begged the God whom she knew valued life to spare hers

even though she was willing, laying with her legs open as the next generation

was scraped mercilessly out of existence with a piece of metal.

"How much longer? will this will be done soon?"

"Just relax," her man-created god of the moment replied

She felt a sharp pain as a piece of life was being detached from its natural habitat

Then it was confirmed, guilty and innocent were separated

Clean white cloth was clearly stained as it mingled with blood to collect the evidence of a 'woman's choice'

Pre-prepared napkins were within reach, but would not allow her to 'stay free' from the truth of what she did

Napkins and bin both played their part in collecting any future plans that had being planned by the Almighty Creator

She lay still as pain rocked the assaulted areas of her body

When she was finally able to move, she wondered

how can God ever be so merciful to a murderer?

Where is daddy in all of this?

Daddy is unaware for mommy thought she had to fix things

But little did she know he has been yearning for the day to hear

'I am pregnant with your baby.'

Trapped in love

Ten thousand tons of brick weighed heavily on my heart.

No will to climb, the pyramid they form.

A thousand blindfolds cover mine eyes.

No desire to move them.

Hands and feet abound with heavy chains.

No strength to cut them loose.

Day and night you fill my every vein.

Timeless, time will tell the plight of my trap.

Sanhedrin

The thing is

dealing with the Sanhedrin

the company of mockers,

back-biters, and as I mentioned before

all other kinds of vampires

there is no accident to their conspiracy, it comes directly from the pit of Hell

and these curds love those types of places

Their intent is to tear you

literally to pieces

both in fiction, prose, broken promises

you are now their yearly sacrifice

some people just love the power of

"being in charge"

The Sanhedrin

is not interested in justice

just in "jucking" you

The Sanhedrin

will bury you in sand

and this is no play play in the beach

sand castle world, sea water to wash it off

They must bury you

when you realise

what is it is all about

you can decide to have a long vacation

if that is possible

everything you are and do will be used against you

The irony is that

time will praise you

Jesus did more the world

in His crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection

it is for you to decide now just how

Christ-like you wish to be.

Purple motivation

When you see my shine, you try to understand

But my world sometimes is less than grand

My strength inside tells you I'm so fine

I need your help, but I won't say that at times

You think you know me, did I tell you my story?

Would you listen or see, the young man, the real me?

I'm trying to get it right, but everyone is so busy

So I play and fight until teacher gets dizzy

I blame you, I blame her and I blame him

I blame my friends, family and even Gibson

One day I realised, stop pointing fingers, my son

It's time to grab hold of your education

So I put on my tie and vowed to be better

I stepped out of my clouds, ready for my future

I'm early, I'm ready, this is really my life

Blue skies, sunshine, I must get it right

Purple you, purple me, purple working together

Purple sharing and caring for one another

Shine brighter than stars, run faster my son

United we stand, and we shall stand as one

The best is yet to come!

You may be confused and don't know what to do.

I don't know what you're through

But God sent me with a word for you.

I don't understand your plight

But God sees your tears and weeping in the night.

Your joy will come in the morning and your future will be bright!

Fret not thyself!

Don't worry about any thing!

Lift your voice! Go ahead and start to sing.

Rejoice! Shout to the Lord!

Sing praises unto God, your King!

Enter his courts with praise. With thanksgiving enter into his gate.

Praise God! Be patient! Lean to wait.

He will be on time even though he's four days late.

You may have been betrayed. Your heart has been broken in two.

You may feel down and think that God has forgotten you.

You may feel frustrated, neglected and hopeless too.

Don't give up! God will do what he says he'll do!

By the ghosts in your past you must refuse to be haunted.

There are some demons around you. Never allow yourself to be taunted.

There are some bullies and some warlords. You should never be daunted!

Life is a journey.

There are some good roads but there are some potholes and some craters.

Some people will love you and treat you well but there will be some haters.

You will encounter some doves and angels but look out for the serpents and the alligators.

There is corruption all around you but you must refuse to be tainted.

There are the doublers and naysayers. A negative image they have painted.

Had you not believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living,

You would have fainted.

If you act like you are defeated, you will be.

Have faith in God and you will always have the victory.

Don't look at your present situation.

The best is yet to come and this is exactly what you shall see!

Love-tinted glasses

Someone came into the room

Who could have walked in

I didn't recognise any features

To let me know who it could have been.

The silhouette was not familiar

My mind clouded with doubt

Who could it be I wondered

I have to check it out.

It must be someone known to me

Or why would they be here

But somehow the person seemed shorter

So I started to stare.

Looking a bit wider

The gait gone from his step

Surely, you see, I'm confused

Who is it? The question isn't answered yet.

Everything seemed a bit different

Where was Denzil's face

How could he be unfamiliar

When I know every line, every trace.

He came a bit closer

And I looked into his eyes

I could not believe it

This was truly a surprise.

It was like looking at a stranger

Someone I never knew

I never guessed this day would come

But surely, yes it was true.

The lies had smeared his image

The truth stripped away the facade

No longer was the mask visible

Now there was a stranger in his own yard.

Without honesty and integrity

You are an ugly soul

The truth is a remedy

But it sure can leave a hole.

All this now revealed

Because they have been removed

My love-tinted glasses.

Long and lasting love

As long as you love me

I'll stay by your side

I'll be your companion

I'll be your friend and your guide

As long as you love me baby

As long as you care

I'll do anything for you

I'll go anywhere

No matter how far or how near

Like peas in a pod, we are an inseparable pair

As long as you love me

I'll bring you the sunshine

I'll comfort your fears

I'll gather up the rainbows

To chase all your tears

As long as forever

My love will always be true

For as long as you love me

I'll only love you

- Roshain R. Greensword
