Who is Chef Dennis McIntosh?

McIntosh is the executive chef at the Rio Nuevo Village in St Mary. A multi-award winner who has appeared on the Food Network as well as numerous appearances on local television, last year he was the guest chef in Brussels, Belgium, at the request of the Jamaican embassy there for the 50th year of Independence.

Having been classically trained in England by French instructors, he set about creating his culinary path by working in Germany, England, the United States, and Bermuda, before returning to Jamaica in 1990 to take up his first executive chef position for Super Clubs.

As president of the Culinary Federation of Jamaica, for four years McIntosh has been working asidiously to provide more opportunities for local cooks/chefs.

The federation is a non-profit organisation that promotes the development of local culinary talent, develops the linkages with local farmers, educational instructions and hotels, as well as provides exposure for the youngsters at large catered events around the island.
