Jamaica logistics hub cocktails and symposium
The buzz was all about the touted logistics hub during cocktails on the Sky Terrace at the Spanish Court Hotel on Monday evening, as public- and private-sector bosses networked ahead of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce's two-day symposium on the logistics hub. The symposium was held at the Jamaica Conference Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The initiative, which is geared at establishing Jamaica as the world's fourth global logistics hub, will create several business opportunities for the local private sector, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises. The two-day symposium was organised by the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce to provide a forum for information exchange and discussion on a variety of perspectives on how best Jamaica can transform its economy by positioning itself as a global logistics hub.
