Joyini's cocktails and a movie

South African Ambassador Mathu Joyini taught guests how to let down their hair in fine style at the viewing of the South African romantic comedy, Fanie Fourie's Lobola. Before sitting down under the stars to this delightful film at El Centro on Hillcrest Avenue, guests were offered a fine selection of South African wines. And what goes best with wine? Cheese, of course, and that they had in abundance. Hors d'oeuvres also included flat bread, crackers, and olives stuffed with blue cheese.
It felt like a family affair. It was that backyard family reunion where everyone got reacquainted before the main event.
Ambassador Mathu Joyini introduced the contemporary piece, noting that it was not one that only showcased South Africa, but one that jokes about issues they still face.
The movie was about an unlikely pair falling in love over after a bet. It was a great way to end a Wednesday night.
