Tuesday talk

TARGET: RICH WIDOWS

1. It seems that rich Jamaican widows are being targeted by wily foreigners who are interested in cashing in on the legacy. In one case though, the relatives have erected numerous roadblocks to prevent their dead relative's fortune from getting into Mexican hands.

NOW IN DOGHOUSE!

2. The prosecuted one has found out in a most painful way how angry outbursts can reach the wrong ears. In this case, the gentleman was using some colourful words to describe the one he felt had deserted him. However, he didn't know that the conversation was being taped, so guess who is permanently in the doghouse? This one may never rise again.

WHERE'S THE TAXMAN?

3. Many people are doing the maths and they declare that it does not add up. Some are even suggesting that if the mansion is a result of money earned, then this should be reflected in their annual tax returns. If not, perhaps it's time, they say, for the taxman to move in and ask some questions.

INVESTORS UNEASE

4. An orchestrated hold-up to send a message. That's the conclusion of those who have been examining the recent incident in one of Kingston's prestigious neighbourhoods. According to them, investors who have been bilked are tired of waiting and they are seeking to claw back some of their funds as soon as possible.
