Suspended cop still on the job

There are reports that a policeman who was ordered suspension by Police Commissioner, Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin, after he admitted that he had fabricated evidence in a murder trial is still on the job.



According to several colleagues of the policeman, Detective Constable Carey Lyn-Sue continues to turn up at the Area One Police Accident Reconstruction and Investigative Unit in Montego Bay.



Communications Director at the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Karl Angell said Constable Lyn-Sue’s suspension remains in effect.



While appearing as a witness in a murder case, Constable Lyn-Sue stunned the court by stating that he fabricated evidence against the accused.



He subsequently confessed that he had become a Christian and felt compelled to speak the truth.



Following his admission, Commissioner Lewin ordered the immediate suspension of Constable Lyn-Sue and a review of all the cases he had dealt with.
