Ocho Rios roadways cleared

The Communications Manager at the National Works Agency (NWA), Stephen Shaw said several roadways that were blocked this morning have been cleared.



He said efforts are being made to have the Fern Gully Main Road returned to at least single lane access by the end of the day.



Regional Coordinator at the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, Sophia Mitchell said welfare teams are now providing temporary assistance to persons affected by the flooding and landslides.



She said no shelter has been opened in the parish.
