Gunman shoots police corporal

A police corporal was among three persons shot and injured by a gunman on Constant Spring Road in Kingston 8 yesterday.
The injured Corporal is assigned to the St. Andrew North Police Division, while the two females ages 17 and 50 are of Kingston addresses.
It is reported that all three were passengers on a Toyota Coaster bus travelling along Constant Spring Road towards Half Way Tree.
On reaching a section of the roadway, a man armed with a gun reportedly held up and robbed several passengers in the vehicle.
Investigators said the policeman confronted the gunman and during a struggle both men fell from the vehicle.
The gunman fired several shots hitting the policeman and the two women before escaping on foot.
