Westmoreland double murder

Two men were shot and killed by gunmen during a robbery in Georges Plain, Westmoreland last night.



They have been identified as Alvin Lettman, 73, and Robert Guthrie, 56, in the parish.



Another man was also injured in the attack.



The police said the three were at a business place operated by Lettman shortly after 7 p.m. when three gunmen entered and opened fire on them.



Lettman and Guthrie were pronounced dead at hospital, while the injured man was admitted in stable condition.



An undetermined sum of money was reportedly stolen along with several phone cards.



No one has been arrested in connection with the double murder.
