Gas prices rise

Motorists can expect a hike in the price of fuel effective today.
The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PetroJam) said oil prices remain high supported by the continued weakening in the US dollar and supply concerns.
The prices of unleaded 87 and 90 octane gasolene will be increased $2.37.
Unleaded 87 will be sold for $70.86, while a litre of unleaded 90 will cost $72.30.
Automotive diesel oil will be increased by $2.37 and will cost $75.66.
The price of cooking gas goes up by $1.18.
As is customary, retailers will add their respective mark ups to the announced prices.
