Minister without portfolio in the finance ministry, Senator Don Wehby, is scheduled to attend the 38th Annual Board of Governor’s Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Canada today.

A technical team from the finance ministry will accompany Senator Wehby to the conference, which will run until Thursday.

He is expected to address the conference on issues regarding debt relief for heavily indebted middle-income countries in the Caribbean and the impact of the increase in oil and commodity prices.

Participants in the conference include Caribbean heads of government, ministers of finance and development and governors of central banks.

Representatives from other international organisations and international financial institutions are also scheduled to participate in the conference.
