Policewoman Viris Christie has lost the appeal against her conviction of the murder of cosmetologist, Natasha Stevens.
The Court of Appeal this morning agreed with her sentence of life imprisonment and recommendation that she serve 35 years before parole.
Stevens and Christie’s Nigerian husband were reportedly involved in a love affair.
Steven’s bullet-riddled body was found under the Causeway in St. Catherine on the morning of September 21, 1999.
Investigations by the Police and ballistic tests revealed that the bullet found at the crime scene came from Christie’s firearm.
She was convicted on November 3, 2003 for the murder.
