Unions representing approximately 1,200 production workers at Alumina Partners of Jamaica (Alpart) will be meeting with workers this week to discuss issues surrounding a new wage agreement.
President of the National Workers Union, Vincent Morrison, said the unions would use the meetings to provide workers with information regarding the settlement it brokered with the company on the weekend.
He said there are several issues to be discussed ahead of the signing this week.
The unions and the Ministry of Labour have brokered a collective labour agreement, which will see production workers receiving a 41 percent increase over three years.
