Man drowns in Portmore pond

A man drowned in a pond at Morris Meadows Housing Scheme in Portmore St. Catherine last evening.
He is Everald McKenzie (Jr.), 20, of Bennett Avenue, Morris Meadows.
The police said McKenzie and friends were swimming in a pond in the community shortly before 5 p.m., when he got into difficulties and drowned.
The police were called and the body was removed and taken to the morgue for post mortem.
