ACP leaders meet

Leaders of African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries are now meeting to discuss the impact of the US financial crisis on their countries at an ACP biennial conference in Ghana.



Many of the 79 member countries have already been affected by escalating fuel and food prices.



The leaders are also set to discuss the contentious economic partnership agreements that ACP regions have been negotiating with the European Union.



The Caribbean is the only region to negotiate a full agreement covering both goods and services.



However, member country Guyana has been opposed to the agreement.
