Skerrit on EPA signing

Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is expressing disappointment with several Caribbean leaders who are scheduled to sign the Economic Partnership Agreement next week.

Mr. Skerrit says he’s unhappy that other CARICOM countries will sign despite earlier doubts from Guyana.

He’s calling for Europe to be more flexible in the way it does business with the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, Guyana, which had previously objected to several clauses in the agreement, is now expected to join the rest of CARICOM and the Dominican Republic.

The controversial EPA agreement is to be signed next week Wednesday.
