Mob attacks man after woman is stabbed
A 34 year old man is now in hospital under police guard after he was attacked by an angry mob for killing his common-law wife in Manchester yesterday.
The dead woman has been identified, as 25 year old Ann-Marie Simpson while in hospital is Radcliffe Levy, a mason of May Day district in the parish.
The police said around 9.30 a.m. Simpson was at a bar where she works as a bartender when Levy came to look for her.
An argument developed between the two during which a knife was used to stab Simpson several times.
It is reported that several persons who were on the scene attacked the man, badly beating him.
Both injured persons were taken to hospital where the woman died, while being treated and the man admitted in stable condition.
The police said he would be questioned and charged as soon as he is released from hospital.
