Lotto scammer before the court

A man who was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the Montego Bay Lotto scam is expected to appear in the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court today.



Forty-nine-year-old Walloh Morle of Granville, St James was arrested at the Sangster International Airport in St James following a two-year probe.



Mr Morle has been charged with 15 counts of obtaining money by false pretence and 2 counts of money laundering under the Proceeds of Crime Act.



The police say between 2006 and 2008, Morle obtained remittances in excess of US$6 million from an American under questionable circumstances.
