La Roose manager fined

The manager of the la Roose Night Club in St. Catherine was yesterday fined a total of $1million or two years imprisonment for illegal possession of two firearms.



Ricardo ‘Bullie’ Thomas, 37, was also put on probation for three years for illegal possession of ammunition.



He pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared in the Gun Court last month.



Mr. Justice Martin Gayle had postponed sentencing until yesterday.



It is reported that the police searched Thomas\' house on Charlemont Drive, Kingston 6 on October 18 and found two firearms with ammunition.



He was arrested and charged.



Thomas was fined $500,000 or two years imprisonment for each firearm.



If the fines are not paid the sentences are to run consecutively.
