Cyclist killed

The Linstead police in St Catherine are seeking the driver of a car that hit two persons, killing one, yesterday.



The two cyclists were hit by a motorcar on the Linstead Bypass at Rose Hall, St Catherine, yesterday morning.



Wilbert Thompson, 58, was killed while Calbert McFarlane, 49, was injured.



Both are from Rose Hall, St Catherine.



The police say the men were riding along the Linstead Bypass when they were hit by a Mitsubishi Gallant motorcar registered 7856 EQ, which was travelling in the same direction.



The driver did not stop.



Both men sustained injuries and were taken to the Linstead Hospital where Thompson succumbed to his injuries and McFarlane was admitted.
