New year murder toll on the rise

At least four people have been killed in separate incidents since the start of the year in Kingston and St Catherine.



The police have not yet established any motive for the murders.



Dead are 26-year-old Dwayne Daley of Papine, St Andrew and 16-year-old

Donald Graham otherwise called ‘Tweetie Bird’ of West Brook Avenue, Riverton Meadows, Kingston.



The other two persons have not yet been identified.



Dwayne Daley was killed about 8:00 a.m. yesterday at Daniel Circle, Portmore Lane, in St Catherine.



The police say Daley was at a house when he responded to a knock on the door.



Four men armed with guns barged in and opened fire, hitting him several times.



Donald Graham who is a student of the St Andrew Technical High School was killed 5:30 a.m. yesterday by gunmen at Mediterranean Sea Drive in Seaview Gardens.



The police say the youth was walking along the roadway when he was approached by gunmen who opened fire on him.



An unidentified man was also killed at High House, Old Harbour, St Catherine



The police say the man’s body was found along the roadway with several gunshot wounds.



The body of another unidentified man, believed to be in his mid-20’s was found with stab wounds on a church compound at East Street in Kingston yesterday morning.
