\'Below 300\' campaign to be revisited

The National Road Safety Council, is to meet with the Prime Minister, Bruce Golding early this year to decide whether the \'Below 300\' road campaign should be revisited.



The campaign which was launched last year was aimed at keeping road fatalities below the 300 mark.



However according to police statistics, 330 people were killed in road crashes last year.



This year, four persons have died in motor vehicle crashes.



This compares with 4 for the first day in 2008.



The council says it will be meeting with its member companies next week before meeting with Mr. Golding.



Mr. Golding chairs the National Road Safety Council



He is also the chairman of the \'Below 300\' campaign.
