Jamaican sentenced
A 36 year old Jamaican man who was deported twice from the United Kingdom has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison for raping an 18 year old woman in Bristol.
Peter Delisser reportedly raped the teenager while awaiting deportation on his release from prison following a bigamy conviction in 2005.
Delisser first went to the UK in 1997 under the false name, Peter Cohen.
He then married and remained in the country illegally and was deported two years later.
Delisser had been due for deportation a third time after completing the four-month sentence imposed for that offence.
However, while awaiting deportation, he allegedly raped his victim, with whom he had formed a relationship.
Despite being already married he married again and was jailed for bigamy in 2005.
Delisser, who has two young sons with his first wife, had also been deported from Canada in November 1992 after being jailed for a drugs offence.
