The St. Thomas police have arrested the common-law husband of the woman who was killed in a fire in Land Top in the parish on Sunday night.
The woman and her three grandchildren were killed after a gunman kicked down the door to the house they occupied, and shot the woman.
The house was later firebombed.
The woman’s common-law husband had escaped unhurt.
The police said they would also be questioning other persons of interest about the incident.
They said they have collected evidence from the scene and will be conducting DNA tests.
The police say they are following other leads in the case.
They said the woman, Angella Lynch, 53, had been involved in several disputes with other members of the community recently.
