Rhodd concerned over residents safety

The Member of Parliament for East Portland, Dr Donald Rhodd has expressed concerns over the safety of residents who have been marooned in the parish.
A section of the main road leading from Ginger House to Comfort Castle collapsed early this morning following heavy rains in the parish since yesterday morning.
Dr Rhodd said nearly three thousand residents living in Millbank, Bowden Pen and Comfort Castle are now marooned.
Addressing parliament this afternoon, Dr. Rhodd appealed to the government for emergency assistance.
Prime Minister Bruce Golding has assured the MP that emergency road will be undertaken on the road.
