Two killed in Portmore

An elderly man and a woman were shot dead by gunmen at Grange Lane, Portmore, St. Catherine yesterday.



They have been identified as 72 year old Sydney Barnes and 48 year old Sandra Mathews.



The police said around 12.30 p.m. yesterday, residents heard explosions in a section of the community and called the police.



When the police arrived the bodies of Barnes and Mathews were found in bushes with gunshot wounds.



No motive has still been established for the murders.
