Constable charged
The police constable who is being held in connection with the disappearance of 15 year old Jhanelle Gouldbourne from her home in Harbour View, St Andrew has been charged with murder.
Deputy Commissioner in charge of Crime, Mark Shields, said Constable Rushon Hamilton was charged after consultations with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Constable Hamilton had been charged late last year with carnal abuse, indecent assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Last week, the police reported that a woman and another police constable were arrested in relation to the teen’s disappearance.
They are Rachel Roberts and Constable Michael McDonald.
Jhaneel was reportedly abducted while standing at her gate in Harbour View last October.
