The National Works Agency (NWA) said repair work is scheduled to begin on the Fern Gully roadway in St. Ann next month.

Senior Communications Officer at the NWA, Collin Morrison, said the rehabilitation work would be done in three stages.

Mr. Morrison said the first 4.6 kilometres of roadway from Colgate to Hines Gully would be resurfaced.

He said the agency would also be carrying out infrastructure and minor drainage repairs.

The drainage problem in the gully continues to be a major problem and contributes greatly to the deterioration of the roadway.

Mr. Morrison said the repairs to the Fern Fully road should be completed by the end of August.
