The 17 year old boy charged for the murder of a York Castle High School girl is to remain behind bars until next month.

The youth, who is the ex boyfriend of the schoolgirl, was remanded until March 10 when he appeared in the St Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrates court today.

The boy is accused of stabbing Nisa Grant, 16, to death.

Nisa is from Mount Edgecombe in Runaway Bay, St Ann.

Her body was found with the throat slashed on the second floor of an unfinished house in Brown’s Town on February 5.

The ex-boyfriend was taken into custody after he reported to the police that armed men attacked them while they were walking through a shortcut.

But during intensive questioning by the police, the boy reportedly confessed to killing his ex girlfriend.

The accused is a student at the Brown’s Town Community College.
