Education Ministry response to computer hacking

The Education Ministry is seeking to reassure the public that no sensitive information was leaked when its computer system was recently hacked by an employee.



The Ministry says it discovered the breach during routine checks and moved quickly to deal with the situation.



It says the employee has since been dismissed and new security measures have been put in place.



The police are also investigating the matter.
