Labour not pleased about Job Cuts

Labour Minister Pearnel Charles says he’s not satisfied with the decision by some companies to cut workers despite clear cost saving alternatives.



The unions representing many Jamaican employees have recommended that companies reduce workdays and work hours or even cut salaries in a bid to ensure job security.



However speaking on Jamaica House Live last night Mr. Charles said some companies have rejected those proposals and continue to cut workers.
