Hope prep student drowns at YMCA pool

The Spirit of Hope Prep School in Half Way Tree is in mourning this afternoon following the death of one its student.
The body of the 11 year old student was found floating in a pool at the YMCA compound in St Andrew shortly after 11 a.m.
It’s reported that the student was among others who went to the facility for swimming classes.
At the end of the session, he and his peers reportedly left the pool and went for a shower.
However, it’s reported that when the children were boarding the bus he was discovered missing.
At that time an alarm was raised and it was discovered that he apparently returned to the pool where he is believed to have drowned.
