Pat Rousseau resigns from NRCA board
The Gleaner/ Power 106 News has learnt that Pat Rousseau has resigned as the chairman of the board of the Natural Resources Conservation Authority (NRCA)
Mr Rousseau was selected to chair the NRCA board in March last year, when a new body was appointed.
Last month Mr Rousseau stepped down from several other government boards.
This includes the board of Caymanas Track Limited (CTL) of which he was also the chairman.
Mr Rousseau was forced to step down from the CTL board after the Contractor General found that as chairman he breached the Corruption Prevention Act.
The issue surrounded the awarding of a contract to SportsMax to supply satellite services for simulcast racing from South Africa and the United Kingdom to Caymanas Park.
At the time of the transaction, Mr Rousseau was also a director of SportsMax and the International Media Corporation, which owns 50 percent of SportsMax.
The Gleaner/ Power 106 News Centre has learnt that the chief executive officer of the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) Dr. Leary Myers is leaving.
Dr. Myers has been the chief executive officer of NEPA for a little over a year.
It’s understood that his contract, which ended last month, is not being renewed.
However, he has asked to remain with the agency until the end of March.
