An eight-year-old child in Frome, Westmoreland is today in a state of shock, following a bizarre shooting incident now being investigated by the Frome Police.
It is reported that while patrolling the Frome Sugar Factory estate, a security ranger employed to the company fired shots at a goat.
However, the shots went past the animal and entered a house, narrowly missing the child and damaging the building.
Councilor for the Frome Division, Paul Wilson said that he has since had discussions with the company’s management and the police on the issue and was advised that disciplinary action would be taken against the security officer involved in the incident.
