The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) said everything is in place for today’s by-election in West Portland.

The director of elections, Orette Fisher, said amid the inclement weather, the EOJ is deploying adequate resources for the highly anticipated activity.

He said the electronic voter identification and ballot issuing system is being used in all polling stations.

It’s costing $29 million for the EOJ to run the West Portland by-election.
