Tighter security in West Portland

he Portland police said they will be taking all necessary steps to ensure adequate security in today’s by-election.
The commanding officer for the parish, Superintendent Dudley Scott, said there will be enough police/military presence in all areas including public buildings.
Superintendent Scott is reminding licensed firearm holders to make arrangements for the proper safe keeping of their weapons.
He said only members of the security forces, and other designated individuals will be allowed to carry firearms.
Superintendent Scott is also warning supporters of both political parties against protruding their bodies from moving vehicles as the police will prosecute all law breakers.
